Responsible for market development, and operational sales work with assigned Key Accounts.   Leads sales and product management efforts to assigned Automotive Key Accounts. Leads the selling process for all battery products.  Acts as primary point of contact for assigned Key Accounts. Leverages relationship between customer, market and Cygni management. Analyses feasibility of technical specs in RFQ’s.

Job Roles and Responsibilities:

1.Develop, integrate and validate Battery Management Systems (BMS) for Li-ion battery packs and BESS systems.
2. Define BMS requirements based on cell characteristics, pack configuration, inverter/charger requirements and system safety requirements.
3.Work on CAN/CAN-FD, RS485, Modbus, Ethernet and other communication protocols.
4.Develop and maintain CAN database (DBC), communication matrix and diagnostic messages.
5.Perform BMS integration with inverter/PCS, charger, EMS, vehicle controller and other external systems.
6.Configure and validate BMS parameters, limits, alarms and fault-handling strategies.
7.Perform cell balancing strategy development and validation.
8.Analyze cell voltage, temperature, current and SOC data to identify battery performance and safety issues.
9.Understanding of BMS hardware architecture and schematics.
10. Develop BMS DV/PV test plans and test cases.

Perform pack-level BMS validation under:
Charge/dischargeOver-voltage
Under-voltage
Over-current
Short-circuit
Over-temperature
Under-temperature
Cell imbalance
Sensor failure
Communication failure
Contactor failure
Pre-charge failure
Knowledge of ISO 26262 and functional-safety concepts is preferred.
Design LV and HV wiring harnesses for battery packs and BESS.
Develop harness architecture, circuit diagrams, schematics, and pin-to-pin wiring.
Integrate harnesses with battery modules, BMS, HV box, contactors, fuses, current sensors, and connectors.
Ensure proper creepage and clearance for HV systems.
Define HV/LV segregation and routing.
Support battery-pack mechanical design to ensure adequate harness clearance and protection.
Review harness accessibility for assembly and service.
Design cell-voltage sensing and temperature-sensing harnesses.
Perform fault injection and boundary-condition testing.
Analyze CAN logs and battery test data.
Support battery certification and customer validation activities.

Educational Qualifications & Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering / Electrical & Electronics, Electronics & Communication
• Must have 8 – 10 Years’ experience in design, BMS Software & Controls, BMS hardware architecture and schematics, Testing & Validation, Knowledge of ISO 26262 and functional-safety
